KACHENGA BUSH-CAMP

 

Kachenga Bush-camp was established as a budget extension of 4 star luxury TONGOLE WILDERNESS LODGE. This was to allow everyone the opportunity of visiting and enjoying what Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve has to offer in terms of a wildlife experience in the most comfortable way possible. With the Park management change to AFRICA PARKS, the future looks very bright with the re-introduction of species nearly wiped out due to land pressure and poaching. 

There are 3 self-contained chalets and a camping area with a fully functional ablution block. We also offer tent rental by prior arrangement. There is a bar area, plus a barbecue and bonfire pit.

The TONGOLE FOUNDATION was established to afford the local communities access to a better education with the building of a primary school, sinking a borehole as well as funding further education for vulnerable and yet very enthusiastic people. KACHENGA'S association with TONGOLE WILDERNESS LODGE, makes it part of drive to combine conservation with people's social needs.
